Please be sure to check out the “Upcoming dates to remember” section below. Both our council and the parish will have events upcoming during the next several months. We’ll do our best to keep the list as current as possible via our council newsletter and web page.
News & Notes
Our meeting dates for the month of May 2010 are on Monday, May 10, 2010 and on Monday, May 24, 2010. Please remember that all of our meetings are held in the basement meeting room of the Rectory beginning at 7 PM. Use the rear Rectory entrance for access to the meeting room.
We have added some new faces to our council and they have become active in our projects; why not come out and join us.
Congrats to our newest Brother Knight, Ed Maurice, who took his 1st Degree on April 22, 2010 at Holy Name of Jesus Church.
When you take a look at our council roster and then realize that although we may not see you at every meeting; you are there working for the parish and the Knights of Columbus in some way. We have people who help feeding the homeless, lectors, greeters at the Masses, involved in the RCIA and CCD programs and the list goes on.
What a wonderful thing it is for Father Rozman to know that he can pick up the phone or email someone and he’ll get the help he needs from the people involved in these various programs.
Fraternally,
Jon
Chaplain’s Corner
My Dear Brother Knights,
Our parish will be having First Holy Communion on Sunday, May 2, 2010 and then on May 3 and May 4, 2010 we will have our parish Eucharistic Devotions. If you are available to spend a few hours with Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, you can let us know in the parish office.
On Sunday, May 16, 2010 we will have our May Crowning at 11:00 AM.
Just a reminder about our parish prayer chain, if you would be interested in having your email address added to the list, just call the parish office and have them add it to our list. Then when the parish office receives information that someone wants or needs our prayers their names are added to the email list and an email is sent to you requesting you remember that person in your prayers.
As you go through your day and have a quiet minute just say a few Hail Mary’s or Our Father’s etc. for the people requesting our prayers. It’s as simple as that.
Father Rozman

Help Needed
Again this year we have been asked by Sister Mary Agnes, Principal of our Cathedral School to try and be of some help to the school. If you purchase your groceries at the Giant Stores, we ask that you log onto www.giantplus.com and fill in the information there. Use the Cathedral School for the school name and their id number is 00599. Every time you grocery shop the school gets the benefits from you. It’s a simple way to be of help to the school.
This is an ongoing yearly effort to help the Cathedral School Please try and do what you can when you can.
